4th of July cookout!

In the evening we had a very fun cookout in the front yard. We roasted "Angels on
Horseback" ,(hotdogs with bacon wrapped around them), and we introduced Barry to
banana boats. You take a banana, split it down the middle and stuff it with marshmallows and chocolate pieces then squish it together, wrap it in foil and stick it in the fire until it is good and hot! Then you take it out and eat the mushy, hot concotion... mm good! It was the perfect time for Suzanne to get our her guitar and have a song fest around the campfire! Kami took the opportunity to get out her soccer ball and teach Barry some moves. The night ended by setting off strings of firecrackers. No fireworks display around these parts. So, if you can't live without them on the 4th, you may not want to come here this time of year. However, feel free to join us for a magnificent fireworks display during Sterling days in Februrary... but oh ya... bring your coat........and longjohns! Oh ya, and did you read the back of Barry's shirt? Click to view close up and eat your hearts out you people in the lower 48, (that means all of you in the continental United States). But we still love y'all!
