July 9 Alaska Sea Life Center

After the Kenai Fjord Cruise, we headed just a few blocks to the end of the Seward Highway to the  Alaska Sea Life Center. It is a place for research and rehabilitation of area sea creatures. We saw many of the animals we saw on the cruise and enjoyed the "hands-on" tank where we were able to touch anenome, sea stars, barnacles, and all sorts of tidepool creatures (see bottom center & right center photos). Kami especially enjoyed interacting with "Woody", the resident huge, stellar sea lion (see center photo). We learned a lot there and had lots of fun too! Before we headed back around to home, we took Barry to this awesome waterfall (bottom left) we knew about just outside of Seward!
